Starting from scratch?
Build a standard B2B agreement using the buyer, seller, scope and amount from your invoice. Add your merchant signature and download the combined document.
Review the standard terms and adapt them to your transaction where needed.
Already have a contract?
Upload your existing contract or statement of work. Keep the agreement and supporting order evidence with the invoice, without recreating your paperwork.
Use the same legal names, commercial scope, currency and value across your documents.
Better-prepared payments
Give every payment
a clear commercial story.
Missing documents and unclear payment purposes can lead to delays. Organize the essentials before your customer pays, so you can respond more quickly if a bank asks for evidence.
- Who is paying: the buyer’s legal identity and relationship to your business.
- What they are paying for: specific goods, services, quantities and deliverables.
- What supports the order: an agreement, order record and relevant delivery evidence.
A few things to know
Do I need an invoice to receive a payment?
Your business must be ready to provide genuine invoices, contracts and other evidence when requested for payment due diligence. You can prepare documents in BorderPay or use your own. Having active receiving details does not remove documentation requirements.
Can I use a contract I already have?
Yes. You can upload an existing contract or statement of work instead of generating an agreement from an available template. Keep its buyer, seller, scope and payment terms consistent with your invoice.
Can I include my bank payment details?
Yes. Select your active USD, EUR or GBP receiving account when preparing the invoice. The document includes the payment instructions for that account. GBP receipts are strictly business-to-business: the sending account must belong to the corporate buyer.
Will these documents prevent a payment review?
Clear records help explain the commercial relationship, payment purpose and supporting evidence. Banks may still request more information or hold, reject or return a payment. An invoice or agreement does not guarantee acceptance.
